More about Jeanette

Jeanette (she/her) grew up in the Bay Area and she has been strolling down Solano Avenue since she was a toddler - her dad worked as a veterinarian just up the street from the studio! She serendipitously discovered The Dance Floor while out on a walk with her dog, Roux, in 2022. Since then, she's worn many hats: The Dance Floor's first Unlimited member, Studio Host, Studio Coordinator, and now Director of Operations.

Her love of dance started early, mostly in the form of living room dance performances with her two sisters…and of course, making up choreography at sleepover parties. While soccer took center stage for much of her childhood, she rediscovered her passion for dancing in high school and college classes. She took barre classes for many years at a local studio but was always looking for a way to bring dance back into her life. She’s so grateful to have found this magical space and this amazing community!

When she's not dancing under the disco ball, you can find her (usually with a large iced coffee in hand) gardening, reading, hiking, doing crafts of all kinds, baking/cooking, thrifting, making playlists, doing crossword puzzles, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
