More about Renuka
Renuka (she/her) is constantly moving & shaking, professionally dancing South Asian styles like bhangra and bharatanatyam and unprofessionally bopping around her house and (aspirationally) belly dancing. Whether teaching technique at The Dance Floor, performing as a company dancer in Duniya Dance & Drum, or choreographing her own work, she finds a story to portray with every song she dances to.
When she’s not dancing, Renuka is hanging out in Berkeley building out The Banyan Tree (a South Asian community center!) or going on walks to play IRL Pokemon Go and spot all her cat neighbors. Renuka hopes everyone attending her classes achieves 3 goals: learn some history, test your physical limits, and have too much fun!
