Instructor

Roma is a Berkeley native who has been moving to the rhythm of the Bay Area since she was five years old. Her dance journey began with a structured foundation in classical ballet, a discipline she dedicated herself to through high school while performing in memorable annual productions of The Nutcracker. As her style evolved, Roma expanded her movement vocabulary into the worlds of contemporary and hip hop, falling in love with the fluidity and grounded energy of modern styles.

During her time at UC San Diego, she further diversified her skills by joining competitive Bollywood (UCSD KYA) and Bhangra (Da Real Punjabiz) teams, blending her technical roots with high-energy, cultural storytelling.

Holding a minor in Theater and Dance, Roma seeks to bring a performance-driven approach to every class, focusing on technical precision and rhythmic versatility.

When she's not dancing or conducting research for work, Roma remains deeply connected to her Bay Area roots. She can usually be found exploring local sights, scenes (and playgrounds) with her partner and two children, reading the latest thriller, or seeking out culinary experiences.
